1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY Friday Afternoon by Ready to fish_
Heated days, late nights, beach, sun, friends, BBQ, road trips, cruising, festivals, drinking and not caring about anything. Yes, we get it! Summer is almost over....But we are ready to kick of the season with our 1 year anniversary bash. After a short summer break we are full off energy to celebrate this with you. And, because we’ve turned 1 year old, we’ve planned an extra long evening for you. Friday Afternoon will start in our brandstore where we’ll provide you with birthday bites and drinks. The beautiful Gia Mellish will play some tunes and maybe even sing a bit. Around 20.30h the evening will continue at BAR22 where a special meal will be prepared for you by W&S for approximately €10 (WOW) After this you are obligated to stay around for some more dancing & drinking.

Nike Sportswear Hyperfuse
Yesterday afternoon, Nike Sportswear introduced the Hyperfuse, the innovation of this season. Two years of intensive research resulted in a new minimalist look. The seamless upper is a unique composition of three solid layers, which are pressed together under high teperatures. Hyperfuse is included in the colorful NIke Sportswear sneakers. The innovative technology, originally from the basketball sport, has been applied to the Air Force One, Air Max One, Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Dunk in sriking neon colors.

Desolation Ready to fish_ SS12
On Monday July 11, Ready to fish_ presented the new SS12 collection in the showroom at the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. For this collection the movie Paris, Texas was the inspiration. In particular, the mix of masculine rawness and strong femininity define the basis for the collection.
Lady Gaga x Iris van Herpen
During her tour in Australia, the popular Lady Gaga wore for the second time a design by Iris van Herpen. Gaga wore a beige leather dress from the new collection; Capriole and combined the dress with shoes from van Herpen, in collaboration with United Nude. Gaga added a veil to it herself.

10 millionth Glamour
Largest Fashion Monthly of the Netherlands celebrates and distributes.... Less than six years ago, in September 2005, the first Dutch Glamour was a fact, and now the 10 millionth issue is going to be sold. Since the first issue, Glamour rapidly became the largest fashion magazine in the Netherlands, with a paid circulation of 148,294.

The debut of Iris van Herpen during the haute couture week in Paris has made a great impression on the international fashion press. Monday the 4th of July, Jan Taminiau showed his Nature Extends Couture collection in Paris at BETC to the international press. The inspiration comes from observing the exceptional and thinking about all the current possibilities to alter bodies. Working on verticality, Jan Taminiau emphasizes vulnerability, by an extension of nature, with a different vision of the real world. “With her timber legs, she moves slowly through the wood. She is innerly strong, walking with her head up, proud of herself. Her skin is peeled, ruptured, scrubbed and full with scratches. Her gown is torn apart by the bushes of the wood. But every nail on her skin is set one by one. She survives and shows her inner self with grace.”
