To secure the front row seats Spice PR introduced the 'front row' T-shirts. Front row seats were kept by 60 girls wearing a T-shirt with name of the front row guest. It was well appreciated by press and celebs, resulting in lots of tweets....

On Saturday evening the 29^th of January in a crowded Gashouder SuperTrash showed her new Autumn Winter collection during Amsterdam International Fashion Week. The venue – filled with 2000 people – were all outrageous enthusiastic about the spectacular show that was opened by the international topmodel Dewi Driegen On the celebrity packed front row were present Georgina Verbaan, Bracha van Doesburg and Lonneke Engel and other famous SuperTrash fans.

Ready to fish_ Autumn Winter 11/12 collection 'Escapism'@MC Theatre

On Saturday January 29th, Ready to fish_ showed their Autumn Winter 11/12 collection 'Escapism' at the MC Theatre on the Fashion Week terrain. A collection inspired by the Cirque de Burlesuqe; a world of illusion and fantasy. On this magical evening, the aw11/12 collection was presented 3 times in a circustent, created by lightbulbs. Models were presenting the collection on ladders, swings and other attributes we recognized out of the circus. The foyer was packed with Ready to fish-fans, sipping on fabulous shaker cocktails and scroppino's and remarkable circus creatures completed the enchanting atmosphere. There was a man on stilts, girls selling popcorn and cotton candy in burlesque outfits and a true fortune teller told you all about your (fashionable) future.
All in all a truly enchanting evening full of surprises and a lovely Ready to fish collection that complemented each other perfectly.

Bas Kosters AW11/12 ‘Fashion Mutant’@AIFW

On Thursdayevening the 27^th of January 2011 Bas Kosters showed his AW11/12 collection during the 14^th edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week. In Kosters’ eclectic world of prints, colour, shapes, visuals and music Fashion Mutants come to life. Bas Kosters collaborated with his band ‘Superior Experience’ and punkband ‘Aux Raus’. The show came to an end with a very own hypnotic track about the Fashion Mutant-collection.

On the 27th of January the promising Lhana Marlet shows during AIFW, Fashionlab; the platform for talent. Her collection Eva’s Apple Revisited is an ode to her creative mother and is dominated by natural elements. Lhana Marlet stands out due to her strong graphics and eclectic modern style.

Marije de Haan@AIFW

On Thursday, January 27th Marije de Haan showed her collection during Fashionlab called Flatliner 2.0. Fashionlab is a platform for young talent and a part of Amsterdam International Fashion Week. The starting point for the collection is her fascination for old crime scene photography in a surreal atmosphere. The collection has an androgynous appearance and can worn by men and women.

Jan Taminiau opening AIFW: Demi-Couture&Haute Couture

On Wednesday the 26th of January Jan Taminiau opened the 14th edition of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week with 2 shows. The first show JANTAMINIAU presented his demi-couture collection. The designer ended the evening with his haute couture collection which he showed earlier this week at the Haute Couture Week in Paris.

Iris van Herpen shows during Haute Couture in Paris

On January 25th 2011 Iris van Herpen presented her collection during Paris. Haute Couture. This was the first time the talented Dutch designer, winner of the Dutch Fashion Award and Dutch Design Award, showed during Haute Couture Paris. For this collection Iris van Herpen collaborated with famous hat designer Stephen Jones, who designs hats for John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood. Also she worked together with Rem D. Koolhaas of the shoe label 'United Nude' again.

Although full of life-changing decisions, you are loaded with confidence, naive but certain you are going to make it happen. And you will. We felt like it was time to dress up, scrub up, like every day is an occasion to look your best. It is still a casual look, but somehow just a bit more polished and cleaner. ILJA VISSER COUTURE

On January 13 2011, Dutch designer Ilja Visser showed her Couture Collection AMBACHT in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. This unique location has been the inspiration for her collection. During an interesting 'hard hat tour' through the museum, that is still under construction, the colourful decorations of Pierre Cuypers (the architect of the museum) and Ilja's collection were melted together. The shapes and colours in the decorationschemes were brought back in Ilja's designs and the whole combination of the collection and the location made this experience real special. The only contrasting items in the serene museumspace were the orange helmets weared for security reasons.

Supertrash Brandstore Opening Amsterdam

On Monday January 3rd, Dutch Fashion designer Hans Ubbink, opened the fashionseason with his AW 11/12 collection in famous theatre Carré. The official circuspiste of the theatre was the ultimate catwalk for Hans Ubbink's theme; Variété. The packed theatre was in for a show full of fashion and several impressive performances by Ellen ten Damme, Moke & the Prince of Illusions.
