Iris van Herpen x Groninger Museum
From 24 March to 23 September 2012, the Groninger Museum will present the first large-scale solo exhibition of the work of Iris van Herpen (Wamel, 1984), one of the most striking designers of this moment. The exhibition offers an overview of her work from 2008 to the present. A selection of her most recent work, such as Capriole and the Micro collection that is to be shown in January 2012, will also be on display.
To accompany the exhibition, the first book on Iris van Herpen will be published. This volume contains an overview of all her collections up to the present, as well as an essay by fashion journalist Jean Paul Cauvin. The book will be issued in conjunction with BAi Publishers.
Spectacular celebrations for first edition of Dutch VOGUE
On 20 March 2012 the first hundred issues of a special limited edition of VOGUE Nederland were presented during a breakfast at the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam. These exclusive issues, complete with serial number, were presented to a colourful selection of Dutch talent who had helped to compile this first edition with contributions on fashion, art or culture. During the presentation, the long-awaited cover of the first Dutch VOGUE, which will go on sale on 22 March, was also unveiled. That evening, the arrival of the Queen of fashion magazines was celebrated in style during a party in the VOGUE House − Felix Meritis − in Amsterdam. The event included spectacular performances by the Danish rock band The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and the English band The Noisettes.

Bombay Sapphire 250th anniversary @ Ten Club
Bombay Sapphire celebrated it’s 250th anniversary on Friday March 16 at the beautiful Ten Club in Amsterdam. The world's oldest jewelery house Garrard, exclusively designed a limited edition bottle for this anniversary. This unique crystal bottle was not only revealed during the celebration, but also raffled. Bombay Sapphire's Brand Ambassador Joyce Pols had the honor of handing out the bottle to ‘fasionisto’, Geoffrey de Groot, who had the the winning lottery ticket.

Claes Iversen AW12/13 @ Oude Kerk
On Monday the 12th of March Claes Iversen presented his AW12/13 collection at the 'Oude Kerk' in Amsterdam. After several feminine and colourful collections, the designer is now going for a darker look. Claes shows a collection, which covers up and reveals. The dynamic between feminine and masculine, decorative and minimalistic and dark versus colour results in a well-constructed collection. A white tuxedo instead of a wedding dress and a suit jacket worn over a evening dress emphasize the contrast within the collection.
