Marga Weimans showed her couture collection 'The most beautiful
dress' during the opening night of AFW. The models were walking in
dresses with prints inspired by the skyline. named skyscraper dress
or the park dress. The show was mixed with
architecture, which explains the frames the models were walking
with, in every possible shape. The showstopper was the telephone
dress, a dress with 300 mobile phones where the audience could call
to, and would make the dress ring and shine.
After the show the installation (99m2) of Marga Weimans 'Fashion House' was available for visitors. With an 'Layar' app a virtual dimension could be experienced of Marga's archive, apartment, atelier, flagshipstore. By scanning several objects the inspiration of Marga will come alive and you could experience the making of and see her inspiration on the smartphone.
