Quite a week with lot’s of events! We celebrated Jeffery Wests’ 1st anniversary with a very personal and inspiring performance of Ellen ten Damme, the Back to the Future NIKE Mag auction took place at the Planetarium with all proceeds donated to the Michael J. Fox foundation, The Bas Kosters for Zeeman launch was one of the most fun events we’ve ever done, The Supperclub 20th Anniversary party was a true celebration of everything Supperclub is famous for: A cool mixture of people, great music, sexy performances and the nicest finger foods. The TASCHEN Amsterdam opening brought together fashion people, architects, artists, photographers, make up artists and celebrities for a super nice opening event, hosted by the highly inspirational Mr. Benedikt Taschen. The Acne SS12 women’s presentation London was AMAZING, The Avelon Sample sale…crowded… All this, next to the regular work filled with emails, brainstorm sessions, meetings and preparations for the upcoming National Glamour Breakfast, Claes Iversen show, Filippa K event and so much more….
All Spice girls did and do amazing job to make everything happen! Without Claire, Tedje, Candy, Julie, Froukje, Tessa, Willa, Hansje, Puck, Martina, Elisah and our lovely interns, Spice wouldn’t be Spice! And I have the privilege to guide them here and there…

In the presence of Benedikt Taschen, TASCHEN Store Amsterdam celebrated the lively opening with a packed Press Preview followed by the official Grand Opening. After opening stores in major capital city’s, such as: Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Brussels, London and New York and at inspiring locations like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Miami, Cologne and Hamburg, TASCHEN Amsterdam is the 12th brandstore of the successful book publisher. Just like all other stores, the Amsterdam store is designed by Philippe Starck.
Store Manager Laurens Besselink and Benedikt Taschen welcomed guests from all fields of Dutch society among whom: Candy Dulfer, Peter Klashorst, Lieke van Lexmond, Sylvana Simons, Henk Schiffmacher, Ans Markus, Frans Molenaar, Liza Sips and many more... Benedikt Taschen gave a warm speech about his affection for The Netherlands.

Last Thursday the extravagant men's footwear label Jeffery West celebrated their first anniversary. The new collection was presented with an intimate, but very rock & roll worthy performance by Ellen ten Damme. It was also the official opening of the photo exhibition in which Ellen ten Damme wears the shoes in her very own cheeky extravagant style, which is what she became known for. This exhibition is on display until early December in the Jeffery West boutique in the Runstraat 17 in Amsterdam. Because there is an enormous demand for these shoes, in the future the brand will also sell women's sizes. www.jeffery-west.nl
“For Spring Summer 2012, I started the way that I always try to work, with something current and close to me. I recently took a family trip to Marrakesh, a place I have always had a strange relationship with as it’s such a big fashion subject. But then I went, I saw and it kicked me. This crazy melting pot of cultures, era’s, nationalities and influences – it is kind of the way I work fashion and I started to think of how a young woman from Stockholm would interpret this amazing place. Trying to capture these different influences we worked with denim, double silk and raw edged double cotton, creating a multicultural vibe. I know a trip is boring but sometimes it’s what you need.” Jonny Johansson
Over 500 people packed ACNE's show last Sunday night at the urban dis-used space of London's Old Sorting office. Thirty-two models paraded along a 50 meter long mirrored catwalk to a thumping house soundtrack. In line with the shows modernest Marrakesh Vibe, Yves Klein Blue waiters served Vodka martini's.

Last Thursday, September 15th, the collection BAS FOR ZEEMAN was spectacularly launched with a pyjama party and an enormous pillow fight. Bas Kosters and Zeeman joined forces to bring a unique collection of underwear and sleepwear. Together with Zeeman, Bas Kosters shows that design can be made super affordable, which fits perfectly whit his ‘anti-fashion’ philosophy. The collection is playful and has a 70’s American sportswear sense. The colourful prints, inspired by sailor tattoos, are specially developed by Bas Kosters for this collaboration. BAS FOR ZEEMAN has a limited circulation and is available exclusively at Zeeman Benelux, Germany and France, starting from September 19th 2011.

The Italian jeans label Replay is official sponsor of the MTV European Music Awards (EMA's) again. Replay has always felt connected with youth and as a sponsor of the 2011 MTV EMA's, Replay wants to celebrate the link between fashion and music at the biggest musical event of the year. This time it takes place in Belfast on November 6th. Through an online contest, Replay offers the chance to experience the event as a VIP, dressed in Replay.
Incredible 'Best Seats in the House' online contest: Especially for this event Replay initiates an online contest that runs from September 19th to October 14th. Through the MTV EMA website www.mtvema.com/replay, one can describe in 30 words what their personal denim style is. The winners get a trip to Belfast including hotel, 'Best Seats in the House' VIP tickets to the EMA's and Replay clothing.
