VOGUE magazine will launch a new edition in the Netherlands next year, edited by the current editor of Dutch Glamour, Karin Swerink. "Holland is a thriving market in the heart of Western Europe with a growing hunger for luxury. It is natural for Vogue," said Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman of Condé Nast International. Published by Dutch division of printing firm Gruner & Jahr, the magazine will be the 19th edition of Vogue worldwide. Jury comments: ‘’This brand clearly addresses biodiversity issues in the fashion industry and provides a very good overview of materials used, related certifications and sourcing locations. The designs are modern, and simple but interesting enough not to bore. The playful and colourful designs are striking.’’
The jury believe that this company can have a true impact on the communication of green labels and a that it has a thorough understanding of biodiversity and sustainability in general, the business plan even included a Life cycle analysis of CO2 emissions. ‘’ The business plan reads that the brand means ‘’Fun’’  in German. We would not be surprised if it means ‘’Sustainable’’ in Nepalese.

On January 22nd & 23rd 2012 MINT takes place at the 32nd edition of the Dutch-based "fashion trade show," Modefabriek. MINT introduces a new standard in fashion: apparel made with respect for people, animals and the environment without compromising style, "fashion forward". The organization hopes to inspire Dutch fashion professionals in the fashion of the future: fashionable, fresh and progressive with authenticity, honesty and sustainability. Real fashion with credible ethics.

The organization hopes to inspire the fashion industry to be happening and harm-less as well. MINT is an initiative of Marieke Eyskoot ,owner of  the ethical fashion company Talking Dress and Willa Stoutenbeek a.k.a. ‘W.Green’ owner of Spice PR’s green branch in collaboration with Modefabriek.

Nike Sportswear presents Crafted For Destruction X Zlatan Ibrahimović

Nike Sportswear celebrates Zlatan’s glorious career, acknowledging his achievements to date by designing him a bespoke NSW Destroyer Jacket. The jacket is both a symbol of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's past achievements and those to come. His hunger for success like every true athlete will never diminish; there are always more games to win and titles to take. On the pitch Zlatan plays with his own unique style and with a single-minded goal; to be the best.

”I try to have my own style both on and off the pitch, to get a jacket this unique was very unexpected and exciting. I have worked hard to earn my success and this jacket reflects that, but this is simply a moment in time, there’s plenty still to accomplish.” said Zlatan Ibrahimović.

With this unique bespoke Destroyer Jacket, Nike Sportswear celebrate not only Zlatan, but also the heritage of the varsity jacket. On a standard varsity jacket, letters and patches would be sewn on to tell the world about the achievements of the athlete wearing it. But when it came to this jacket it was decided to use some of Zlatan’s tattoos and mirror these on the destroyer jackets exterior. To make it authentic Nike Sportswear involved Zlatan’s tattoo artist Christian Wagner to guide them and fashion designer Julia Hederus to help translate his tattoos onto the fabric of the jacket.

Weekly Post by Spice's Hansje

Tuesday morning we had a lovely surprise at the office. Sinterklaas had surprised Spice PR with a visit!!Everybody got a really cool American Apparel Nail polish and of course somedelicious ‘pepernoten’. Like every Tuesday morning we start the day with our weekly meeting. On Wednesday Julie and I had a Replay event in George W.P.A. During the event Nikkie Plessen was presented as the newest ambassador for Replay. The food (as always) was great! Back at the office I had to send out the press release about Nikkie for Replay. I was asked by one of my best friends Liza to join here to a benefit for the Health E Foundation. After the dinner you could place your bids on some amazing prices but this one was my favourite. Unfortunately I went home empty handed but I had a great night!

Nikkie Plessen new ambassador Replay

On November 16th Nikkie Plessen was introduced as the new ambassador of denim label Replay. During an Italian lunch at George W.P.A., which was completely transformed into a 'Cipriani-meets-Replay 'atmosphere, Carlo Ferilli (Replay Netherlands) and Matteo Sinigaglia ( Replay's CEO ) announced Nikkie as their new ambassador for the Netherlands.
